A warm welcome to Theresa's Forum. One of the best things about Theresa as a pediatric occupational therapist was her ability to get people together to communicate with each other for the benefit of the kids. In that spirit we welcome all contributions on the topic of helping kids with special needs. Topics of discussion can center on the entire scope of preschool early intervention or special education and therapies for school age children. We invite parents, teachers, therapists, educators and trainers to create helpful topics for discussion. As examples, we can have discussion groups for parents to inquire about or to discuss how to handle problems presented by their kids at home. Teachers can discuss the best ways to handle performance issues in the classroom and gain a better understanding of underlying causes. Therapists can offer discussions of different approaches to effective therapies to help the kids make progress in the classroom and at home, Educators and trainers can present upcoming on-site educational opportunities and webinars or discussions of previous educational and training sessions. It takes a team of experts to help kids with special needs. That is why we want this forum to provide a wide array of topics and discussions by the many experts who are helping the kids to perform better and lead successful future lives. This is what Theresa promoted throughout her career as a pediatric occupational therapist. Feel free to create a topic of interest so that others may join the discussion. Simply sign up and create a password. Thank you.
